Public Relations and Marketing Intern
ABOUT ME
Reading and writing have always been passions of mine. As a junior at Truman State University, I have been fortunate to develop those passions and strengthen my talents. Experienes like studying abroad, writing for the school newspaper and magazine, and obtaining leadership positions in campus organizaitons have aided me in personal and professional growth.
I'm studying communication with an emphasis in public communication. I have written for the Index, the university newspaper, and Detours, a tri-state travel magazine while also managing social media and public relations for a university organization. Although my skills are centered around writing and leadership, I also study and proficiently speak Spanish.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I'm currently the Public Relations and Marketing intern for the Kansas City Auto Museum. My duties include writing press releases, preparing marketing strategies, managing social media for a monthly event, aiding in the making of event space promotional materials, and maintaining strong relationships with the media. This internship has been a wonderful opportunity to apply what I have learned in the classroom to daily tasks.
